In addition to the free themes, we provide a premium version for most, if not each of the themes that you will find in our growing portfolio. Our premium versions are designed to extend the free theme features by adding more options to help you build your websites.
Since Rough Pixels began, we decided to focus on blogging websites that want lightweight themes that are easy to use. We understand that blog websites do not need extensive, bloated, or confusing themes that add frustration. Simplicity is key to your success!
We know it’s important for you to get a theme that looks amazing without having to waste time trying to figure out how to use it. Plus, when it comes to support, we strongly believe that this is just as important as the theme itself. Support is paramount when it comes to Rough Pixels.
Who is behind Rough Pixels?
Roughpixels was invented in Canada by Andre, who was behind Rough Pixels since the beginning. The project is now continuing in Switzerland. My name is Swen and I’m the one continuing roughpixels using my former experience of 8 years with the wordpress system.
I live in Zurich, here in Switzerland. Surrounded, by some small mountains like the Uetliberg, with forest of trees and the river called „Limmat“. I work from different areas, commuting between the cities.
I’ve been working with WordPress for about 8 years. Prior to this, I started my own online learning system, explored several CMS systems like an early typo3 version.
In addition to my development background, I was also a provider of a homepage community (similar to myspace), where people could setup their own basic homepage.
